Fiat Club
Fuerza e Integridad A Todos

By Nick Brown

The purpose of the FIAT Club is to bestow on its members the passion to empower the Latino Community. The group welcomes Latino and non-Latino men, with the intention of bringing University male leaders and entrepreneurs together in working with their local communities through citywide initiatives and multiple University programs. It follows the ideals of Phi Iota Alpha fraternity, which was founded on Dec. 26, 1931.

Furthermore, it encourages its members to provide intensive educational, cultural, and social activities geared toward the promotion of Latin American Culture. As a club open to all races and cultures, FIAT Club serves to unite all Latinos and other ethnic groups.

The FIAT Club strives to bring together all Latin American cultures under one network, while unifying and advancing Latino Americans in the United States. Furthermore, the members of FIAT dedicate their efforts to abolish the ignorance, prejudice, and racism against and among Latin American nationalities within our communities, universities, and home countries.

Membership in FIAT gives to those interested individuals a chance to find out what it is like to work with each other.

In addition, it exposes them to the ideals espoused by Phi Iota Alpha, just in case they would eventually like to become brothers and be a part of this fraternity that puts into practice these ideals. It also gives them the chance to determine what level of dedication and enthusiasm the prospective member would contribute, if they so choose to be, and are admitted into Phi Iota Alpha. Also, for individuals who wish to join Phi Iota Alpha, membership in FIAT is not mandatory, but it is highly recommended.

If you would like to find more information about the FIAT Club, our meetings are held on Fridays at the Baker Systems Building, Room 198, at 4p.m. You can also contact Nick Brown at:
