The University-wide Council for Hispanic Organizations (UCHO) is a student-run organization on campus that serves to foster communication among the various Hispanic organizations. There are currently eight active organizations in UCHO, and this year we are working toward recruiting more. If you are a Hispanic/Latino or you are just simply interested in the culture, UCHO is the place to be! Our next bi-weekly meeting takes place at 7:30 p.m. in Room 311 of the Ohio Union. Come see what we are about and eat free pizza while you’re at it! For more information contact Claudia De León at de-leon.6@osu.edu or visit our website: ucho.org.ohio-state.edu

Alpha Psi Lambda, founded in 1985 at The Ohio State University, is the first coed- Latino-interest fraternity in the nation. We are a social fraternity, but we also place a great deal of emphasis on philanthropies and helping out the Latino community in Columbus and the surrounding areas. For more information, contact Adriana De Los Santos at estrelladelosegoistas@yahoo.com

Asociación de Estudiantes Mexicanos is composed of approximately 45 members, most of whom are graduate students, and a few are undergraduates. However, our board includes both types of students and we welcome all, especially undergraduates, to become involved. You do not have to be Mexican to join; in fact, you do not even have to know Spanish! For more information, contact Jose Saucedo at saucedo.3@osu.edu

Folclor Hispano is a dance group at Ohio State University that strives to learn and present traditional folkloric dances of Spanish-speaking countries. Through dance and music, members have an opportunity to experience and share with the community the vibrant folkloric expressions of these countries. For more information, contact Megan Goeser at goeser.1@osu.edu

The Hispanic Business Student Association promotes the educational and professional careers of its members. Companies, organizations and individuals are solicited to host workshops that are designed to address educational issues, business trends and career opportunities relating to Hispanics. For more information contact Richard Wahl at wahl.43@osu.edu

Hispanic Organization for Texas Students is an alliance that was created among Hispanic undergraduate students to provide future and current Ohio State students with moral and academic support. We work to promote student retention and development and serve as a network for Hispanic Texas students to help develop their leadership aptitude. For more information, contact Michael Venegas at venegas.3@osu.edu
