A Glimpse into the Life of the Latino
Community at OSU


Alpha Psi Lambda Picnic
Alpha Psi Lambda, the Latina/o co-ed OSU fraternity held its welcome picnic on Sept. 26, with the co-sponsorship of the Office of Hispanic Student Service, The Multicultural Center and the Office of Minority Affairs.


Younkin Center Open House

Students, faculty, and staff were invited to the Younkin Success Center to see the resources and services that will help enhance their academic, career and personal success. The Open House took place during the Welcome Week.


33rd Annual Graduate and Professional Student Orientation and Reception
Leaders from the different graduate student organizations on campus welcome the new students at the Student Orientation and Reception held on Sept. 23. Hosted by the Office of Minority Affairs, this activity is conducted annually to assist with enhancing the university’s Diversity and Academic Plans.

 

 

UCHO Opening Meeting
The first meeting of the academic year was held on Oct. 4. Claudia de León welcomed the Latin@ organizations and the guest speakers, Carmen Alvarez (Multicultural Center), Gonzalo Bruce (GAA Office of Hispanic Student Services), Courtney Kelly (VIVA) and Tiffany Lipscomb (Undergraduate Admissions First Year Experience).
