Thania Gaido

Thania Gaido graduated from OSU with a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE). She worked in a small company located in Dublin, Ohio, for a year before deciding to pursue her master’s degree in ISE.

She is originally from Honduras (Central America) and she comes from a family of teachers, writers and people in many diverse professions, who are the source of her passion for reading and learning new things.

Thania is looking forward on her role as editor of ¿Qué Pasa, OSU?. "As a former reader, I have become accustomed to the traditions that the magazine has promoted, and I am interested in learning how the magazine works.", she said. "I will also be working on my project with Dr. José Castro [new Chair of the Hispanic Oversight Committee] in the ISE department."

 
 
Melissa Quintanilha
Melissa Quintanilha

Melissa Quintanilha was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and graduated with a B.S. in Computer Science from Rio de Janeiro Federal University. She has developed intranets and websites for individuals and big corporations. This past year, she worked for Siemens Corporate Research’s User Interface Design Center in Princeton, New Jersey. Besides being passionate about her work, she also enjoys learning languages, photography, and yoga.

Melissa is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree at the Department of Industrial, Interior and Visual Communication Design at the Ohio State University

“I am really excited about joining the ¿Qué Pasa, OSU? team.”, she said. “The magazine and website are both a very important resource to the Hispanic/Latin@ community and I will give my best to improve it even more!”
